The police say that investigations have been initiated into the bus accident in the Kulugammana area of Aladeniya, Kandy.
The police said that it is suspected that a brake defect in the bus caused the accident.
A group of people who had come on a picnic had encountered the accident and they are residents of the Ehetuwewa area in Galgamuwa, the police further stated.
37 people were injured when a bus met with an accident in the Kulugammana area of Aladeniya, Kandy last night (12) at around 10 pm.
The injured in the accident have been admitted to the Peradeniya, Kandy Hospital. The number of people on the bus at the time of the accident was 38.
