A team of archaeologists in Peru has discovered a 3,500-year-old city in the country.
They say that this ancient village was a trading center connecting the Pacific coast, the Andes Mountains and the Amazon rainforest.
It is also said that this ancient city was very prosperous at the same time as the early civilizations of the Middle East and Asia.
Located about 600 meters (1,970 feet) above sea level, this city has been found with stone and brick walls and ruins of buildings.
Part of the Andes mountain range, which is the highest mountain in South America and spans several countries, belongs to the state of Peru.
