Dr. Chamal Sanjeeva says that the health service in this country should remain with the government and the administration of the health sector should change immediately.
He says that the outdated governance in the health sector should be changed and people who know the health trends of the new world should join the health administration. He also said that the corrupt officials who buy the 30 rupees pill for 30,000 rupees should be removed from the health administration.
Speaking at a press conference, he said that in a privatized health service, even for a simple flu, the hospital fee is likely to be two to three lakh rupees. He also pointed out that if the health service is privatized, the cost of an intensive care unit may rise to crores and billions.
He emphasized that Jackson Anthony was detained and treated in the intensive care unit of the National Hospital for a long time, and that even such patients could receive treatment in the intensive care unit for such a long time because of the free health service in this country.
