The Navy has arrested 14 Indian fishermen who were illegally fishing in Sri Lankan waters.
The Navy said that the fishermen were taken into custody during a special search operation conducted in Sri Lankan waters off Analathivu Island.
The vessel in which the Indian fishermen arrived has also been taken into custody by the Navy and the group has been handed over to the Jaffna Myladay Fisheries Inspectorate for further legal action, the Navy said.
