Airport sources say that 11 Sri Lankans belonging to two families who were stranded in Gaza returned to Sri Lanka today.
The Sri Lankan Embassy in Cairo, with the coordination of the Egyptian authorities and the Sri Lankan representative in Ramallah, facilitated the entry of the group stranded in the Gaza Strip into Egypt through the Rafah border.
A team of embassy officials took the group into custody at the Rafah border and took them to Cairo to facilitate their return to Sri Lanka.
