A container containing 10,000 kg of dry fish and maldive fidh dried using the new technology was exported to Australia and Korea, the Ministry of Agriculture said.
This is the first time that dried fish and maldive fish produced in Sri Lanka are exported to Australia and Korea. These exports have been made by Pahajjawa Megafish manufacturing companies.
In the traditional production of dried fish, drying is done using sunlight, but under the new technology, making dried fruit and dried fruit is done by air conditioning dehydration.
