According to political sources, the leader of the Free People’s Assembly, Dallas Alahapperuma, has not agreed to join the opposition alliance to be created by the Samagi Jana Balawega, led by the opposition leader Sajith Premadasa.
The sources further state that this crisis has been created due to the opinion held by the members of the Free People’s Assembly that Dullas’s name should be announced as the prime ministerial candidate in order to join the alliance.
Meanwhile, it is learned that after the member of the Free People’s Assembly, Professor G. l .Peiris, joined the S.J.B, another M.P Dylan Perera, has also decided to join the S.J.B
In addition, it is reported that several MPs including Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Sudarshani Fernandopulle, who cooperated with the Dallas faction, are going to join Parliament member Nimal Lanza. Nimal Lanza is creating a separate political force to support President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
