The body of Dinesh Shafter, director of Janashakti Insurance Company, was exhumed this morning as per a court order. His father Chandra Shafter, a prominent businessman, was also present on the occasion.
The president’s lawyer, who represented the deceased, requested the court to conduct the exhumed of Dinesh Shafter’s body secretly, and Colombo Additional Magistrate Rajinda Jayasuriya rejected the request. The magistrate ordered the family to appear at Borella Public Cemetery today to identify the body.
