The Cabinet has approved the National Tourism Policy. This policy draft was discussed in the Cabinet meeting held on 09-04-2023, where it was decided that the draft should be further reviewed by a committee consisting of standards in the tourism sector.
Accordingly, the government said that a committee appointed by the President’s Secretary has identified the problems and potentials of the tourism industry and drafted the proposed National Tourism Policy in accordance with the recommendations of the National Planning Department, taking into account local and global needs.
The Council of Ministers has approved the proposal presented by the President as the Minister of Monetary, Economic Stabilization and National Policy to implement this policy.
