A few days ago, a group of fishermen stormed the Archbishop’s house in protest against the petition filed by the Colombo Archbishop Malcolm Ranjith Cardinal before the court regarding Pitipana Lellama Fishing market.
Responding to that protest, a massive protest was organized by Catholic devotees and priests and nuns of four churches in Negombo today.
The protestors claim that the businessmen of Migamuwa Pitipana are spreading false propaganda and that the decision of the Colombo Archdiocese is correct.
