Maharagama Police say that a fire has broken out at a place where an incense manufacturing company and a garment factory are run in the Mahalwarawa area of Pannipitiya.
The police further said that no casualties were reported in the fire which broke out at around 7 am, but lakhs of worth of clothing products stored in the garment factory were destroyed and the fire did not spread towards the incense factory.
When the fire broke out, 02 fire trucks, 3 water bowsers, and ten firemen including duty officers of the Kotte Fire Department arrived at the scene to douse the fire.
