United National Party Member of Parliament Vajira Abeywardena states that a separate commission should be appointed to find out whether union business is necessary for the teaching profession or not.
He also said that when the mind of the teacher is a trade union mind, the mind of the school children is likely to be distorted and accordingly, for the benefit of all the children of the country, there is a need to appoint a separate commission for this purpose.
