In the Sri Lankan university system, a proposal has been made to give foreign as well as Sri Lankan students the opportunity to study by paying money. Sampath Amaratunga, Chairman of the University Grants Commission said. He said this while appearing before the Committee on Public Affairs.
He said that this proposal is a controversial thing and there will not be a big change there and said that this opportunity can be given by amending an existing act.
