The private entity NSO has emphasized that there is no need for an increase in electricity tariffs for the period from October to December 2026.
NSO conveyed this during a stakeholder consultation meeting held today (05) regarding the proposed electricity tariff revision for the fourth quarter of 2026.
This decision was reached by taking into account current water storage levels in reservoirs, as well as rainfall forecasts influenced by El Niño weather conditions—that are expected to be above average.
