All ten doctors who treated Saleh have been summoned to court.

It is reported that the doctors who treated former State Intelligence Chief General Suresh Sallay who was arrested on suspicion regarding the Easter Sunday attacks and is currently detained under the Prevention of Terrorism Act have been summoned to appear in court next Tuesday (6).

Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena issued this summons following a request made yesterday by officers of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Accordingly, the Director of the National Hospital of Colombo and ten specialist doctors including physicians, psychiatrists, and cardiologists who treated General Suresh Sallay at the hospital have been summoned to appear in court on the 6th.

The doctors have been ordered to appear before the court and present facts regarding the former State Intelligence Chief’s current health condition and whether he requires continued hospitalization for treatment.
