It is reported that the Police Commission has decided to revoke, with immediate effect, the transfers of officers including SDIG Ranmal Kodithuwakku and the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Police Narcotics Bureau, Ashoka Dharmasena. This decision was reached during the Police Commission meeting held today (01).
The proposed transfers of several officers including the Director of the Police Narcotics Bureau, two Superintendents of Police, and female Police Inspectors have been rejected. The request for these transfers had been submitted to the Police Commission by the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
