9,000 Children Arrested for Drug-Related Offenses in 11 Months

Police Media Spokesperson and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) F.U. Wutler stated that 9,105 children have been arrested for drug-related offenses since October 30, 2025.

The spokesperson noted that these arrests included 8,931 boys and 173 girls. It has also been revealed that 175 individuals committed suicide in 2025 due to the drug crisis; of these, 172 were men and three were women.

Furthermore, the Police Media Spokesperson stated that 11 individuals have died due to drug-related causes so far in 2026. Meanwhile, it was revealed that 2,277 kg 524 g of heroin, 3,172 kg 52 g of ‘Ice’ (crystal methamphetamine), 293 kg 872 g of cocaine, and 9,512 kg 310 g of cannabis have been taken into police custody during raids conducted between October 30, 2025, and the day before yesterday.

The Police Media Spokesperson stated this at a media briefing held yesterday (10) regarding the “Ratama Ekata” (The Whole Country Together) national operation.
