The General Manager of the National Housing Development Authority (NHDA) has been sent on compulsory leave, it is reported.

This decision has been taken due to several serious irregularities allegedly committed by the General Manager in violation of the Establishments Code and the disciplinary rules of the National Housing Development Authority.

According to a statement issued by the Chairman of the Authority, J.K.A. Sirinatha, the General Manager has been sent on compulsory leave with pay, and he has been prohibited from entering any office or workplace of the National Housing Development Authority during the leave period.

An investigation will be conducted into the allegations made against the General Manager in the future, and if the allegations are proven, legal action will be taken against him, said the Chairman of the National Housing Development Authority, J.K.A. Sirinatha.
