Fort Additional Magistrate Kingsley Hettiarachchi today (17) issued warrants for the immediate arrest and production of six suspects, including Deputy Minister of Urban Development Eranga Gunasekara and Member of Parliament Jagath Manuwarna, before the court.
They were granted bail in connection with a case pending in court for violating court orders and participating in unlawful assembly.
Accordingly, the warrants have been issued to Deputy Minister of Urban Development Eranga Gunasekara, Member of Parliament Jagath Manuwarna, Roshan Ali Danis Ali, Amal Salinda alias Ami Amila, Udayanga Kumara and Venerable Koswattage Mahanama Thero.
The Acting Magistrate, who issued notices to the bailiffs, ordered the case to be adjourned until December 4th.
