The owner of the Jaffna Kings team in the Sri Lanka Premier League and another person have been arrested on suspicion of match-fixing, it has been reported. The two have been arrested by the Special Investigation Unit for the Prevention of Sporting Misconduct.
The two arrested are Manjot Kalra and Yuvraj Kushwaha, co-owners of the Jaffna Kings team.
The arrests came as the inaugural match of the 2026 Lanka Premier League between Jaffna Kings and Gol Gallants is scheduled to begin at 7.30 pm tonight at the SSC Stadium in Colombo.
