Just as Viharamaha Devi was sacrificed to the sea in the past, the current Prime Minister, Ms. Harini Amarasuriya, should also be handed over to the sea from Kelaniya, said Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Dilip Wedaarachchi.
Speaking to the media, the MP said that he is requesting the government to immediately stop misleading the people.
Alleging that there are large-scale thieves from the leader of the current government to the grassroots level, Dilip Wedaarachchi stated that the current government is a corrupt government that is a curse to the country.
However, the MP recalled that when the sea rose due to an act that occurred during the reign of King Kelani Tissa in Sri Lankan history, steps were taken to sacrifice the Vihara Maha Devi to the sea to save the country and the people from that disaster, and further stated that similar steps should be taken to save the country from the disaster being faced by the current government.
