Former Chief of the State Intelligence Service Major General Suresh Salle has been admitted to the Emergency Unit of the Colombo National Hospital for emergency treatment, hospital sources confirm.
Arrested on suspicion of the Easter Sunday terrorist attack, he was in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Department until now.
He had started a hunger strike and a food boycott, claiming that he was being subjected to inhuman torture.
Meanwhile, Suresh Salle has informed his lawyers today (07) that he has been informed to come immediately with the necessary documents to donate his eyes and prepare his last will and testament as he feels that his death is imminent.
