It is reported that the Cabinet has approved the continuation of the existing water tariff without revision for the first six months of 2026.
According to the water tariff formula approved by the Cabinet on July 15, 2024, the unit cost of water sales should be reviewed semi-annually, taking into account changes in key cost factors.
An analysis conducted based on the financial statements of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board for the year 2025 has revealed that the current water tariff is capable of covering the entire operational costs.
Accordingly, this Cabinet approval is received in relation to a proposal submitted by the Minister of Housing, Construction and Water Supply.
