The low pressure area continues

The Department of Meteorology states that the low pressure area located northeast of Sri Lanka continues to exist and its behavior, development and trajectory are being monitored continuously.

Due to the influence of this low pressure area, showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Northwestern and Northern provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts, and the sky will remain cloudy, the department said in a statement.

Also, some places. Moderate to heavy rains of about 75 mm are possible, the statement said.
