The Department of Meteorology says that showers or thundershowers are likely to occur in many parts of the island after around 1 pm today (13).
Showers or thundershowers are likely to occur in some areas of the Western, Southern and Eastern provinces during the morning, and some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and Northwestern provinces will receive up to 100 mm. The department says that there may be heavy rains above 75, and that foggy conditions may prevail in some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces during the morning hours.
