Sri Lankan cricketer Nuwan Thushara has agreed to withdraw the petition filed by Sri Lanka Cricket, seeking an order from the Sri Lanka Cricket to issue him a certificate of no objection to participate in the 2026 Indian Premier League.
In a letter to the Sri Lanka Cricket, he has apologized to the Sri Lanka Cricket for taking legal action on the matter.
He also stated in the relevant letter that he is willing to withdraw the petition.
The petition filed by Nuwan Thushara was taken up before the court yesterday, and the Sri Lanka Cricket informed that it would file objections to the complaint. The Colombo District Court then ordered that the case be called on April 23rd for the respondents to file their objections.
