What will happen to oil prices due to the decision taken by the OPEC organization?

Representatives of the ‘OPEC +’ countries, which met yesterday (5) to increase oil production in the coming May, have decided, according to foreign media reports.

The media reports that this decision was taken with the aim of controlling crude oil prices in the world market and thereby maintaining a stable level of the world economy. According to this decision, it has been decided to increase daily oil production by 206,000 barrels.

This organization is an association consisting of 10 countries and has OPEC and non-OPEC (oil exporting countries) as members.

Accordingly, 8 countries in the association, namely Saudi Arabia, Russia, Iraq, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria and Oman, have expressed their agreement to increase oil production.
