The arrival of fuel ships after April is not yet confirmed.

Deputy Minister of Finance Anil Jayantha said that he rejects the opinions that the country’s fuel supply may be challenging after the Sinhala New Year.

He further said that the government is already working to continuously obtain fuel stocks through diplomatic interventions at the international level.

Participating in a political program held on an electronic media channel yesterday, the Minister stated that although official confirmation of the arrival of fuel ships after April has not yet been reported, the supply chain will not be allowed to break.

The Minister also said that direct diplomatic (G2G) discussions have been initiated with countries such as Russia, China and India to address the shortage of oil tankers and distribution problems around the world.
