Despite a series of large-scale attacks, several large-scale demonstrations were held in Iran yesterday, Al Jazeera reported.
Supporters of the Islamic Republic of Iran held the demonstrations to celebrate the appointment of Mojtaba Khamenei as their new supreme leader, Al Jazeera reported.
Mojtaba Khamenei was chosen on Sunday to succeed his father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was assassinated on the opening day of the war with the United States and Israel.
Meanwhile, Iran has attacked several Gulf countries yesterday, breaking the Iranian president’s promise not to attack neighboring countries again after apologizing for attacking them last Friday. One person has been reported killed in yesterday’s missile and drone attacks on US military bases and Gulf states hosting Israel.
