A recent report released by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka states that foreign workers sent a total of US$ 729 million in remittances to Sri Lanka in February 2026.
The amount of foreign remittances received by the country in February 2025 was US$ 548.1 million, an increase of US$ 180.9 million compared to the same month last year.
