It is reported that the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption has filed indictments against Energy Minister Kumara Jayakodi in the Colombo High Court.
He has been accused of corruption for allegedly handling procurement activities in a way that gave an unfair advantage to a private company while he was working at a fertilizer company in 2016.
After considering the financial loss caused to the government due to this incident, the case has been filed under the Anti-Corruption Act.
