Do not create a fuel shortage that does not exist.

National People’s Power MP Devananda Suraweera says that groups with narrow political objectives are trying to mislead the people by claiming that there is a fuel shortage in the country. He said this while speaking to the media after participating in a special program.

The MP emphasized that political forces that have shaped the country throughout history are once again spreading such rumors with narrow objectives to confuse the public.

“The Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation has officially stated that there is no fuel shortage in the country at present. Certain groups are working to force the people to queue for narrow political purposes. Even the queues that are currently visible are artificially created in this way,” he said.
