A ship carrying 3,900 metric tons of gas arrived at the Colombo Port yesterday and the unloading of the gas began yesterday itself, the company said. Accordingly, it will begin releasing 100,000 gas cylinders to the market daily from today (23), the company said.
Two more gas ships are scheduled to arrive in the island on the 25th and 28th.
There has been a shortage of Litro gas in the market for several weeks, causing great inconvenience to consumers.
