The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands and Irrigation, K.D. Lal Kantha, says that the Chief Incumbent of the Mihintale Rajamaha Viharaya, Venerable Walawahangunawewe Dhammarathana Thero, is expressing ‘disgusting’ views regarding education.
He made this statement while addressing the annual conference of the Sri Lanka Agricultural College Alumni Association (SAPSA) held yesterday (10).
He said,
“Reforms have continued to happen. Our country is now in a transformational era. We have come and gone in agriculture and are now in a transformational place. We have come and gone in education and are now in a transformational place. We are also in a transformational place in politics. I think the topic is more about the Prime Minister than education. The Prime Minister is like this, she is like that. I think the religious leaders are the ones who talk the most.
They all know about the Prime Minister. Behavior, patterns of behavior, likes and dislikes, but there is a saying that the state of education can be understood from society. When you look at those who talk about our educational transformation in the name of reforms, protest, and talk about the Prime Minister, their level of education is clearly visible. Especially that ‘Wanachariya’ in Mihintale, who only talks dirty.”
He alleged that no Prime Minister has ever been so controversial under the rule of an executive president in this country, and that such statements are made by people who are hypocritical and sexually hypocritical about women.
