A motion to release the controversial 323 containers was submitted to the Speaker today.
The motion calls for the appointment of a special committee to investigate the release of 323 containers from the Colombo Port without undergoing mandatory physical inspection.
Samagi Jana Balawegaya MPs Gayantha Karunathilaka, Ranjith Madduma Bandara, Harshana Rajakaruna, J.C. Alawathuwala, and Dr. Kavinda Jayawardena were present on the occasion.
In addition, Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna MP D. V. Chanaka also attended the event.
