Sri Lanka is among the fastest-growing economies in the world, according to a new report released by the World Bank. The report further states that Sri Lanka has made significant progress in stabilizing its economy.
Sri Lanka has made one of the largest fiscal adjustments in history, equivalent to nearly 8% of GDP in three years, according to a World Bank report released yesterday (10).
It states that compared to more than 330 similar efforts in 123 countries around the world since 1980, Sri Lanka’s adjustment is sharp and rapid by international standards.
