A person injured in a shooting incident by two men on a motorcycle in the Panchikawatte area of Maradana has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital. The shooting occurred at around 1.45 am today.
The identity of the person injured in the incident has not yet been confirmed.
Meanwhile, a person has died in another shooting incident that occurred in the Grandpass area of Colombo last night (5).
Police stated that two unidentified persons who came on a motorcycle near the Mahawatta Clock Tower carried out the shooting and fled.
The person injured in the shooting died after being admitted to the Colombo National Hospital. The victim is a resident of the Kelaniya area. Investigations are underway to determine whether there is any connection between the two shooting incidents.
