A doctor who was driving a luxury car with a fake number plate was arrested by the Kandy Police Divisional Crime Investigation Unit today.
The arrest was made following a phone call received by the Police Emergency Call Unit. Police sources say that the doctor and the car were arrested during a raid conducted on Sumangala Mawatha in Wariyapola, Kandy.
The police have discovered that the number plate attached to the seized vehicle is the same as the car of the doctor’s brother-in-law.
