A fire has broken out in the Yudhaganawa Puhulgala Mountain Reserve belonging to the Buttala Divisional Secretariat Division. It is reported that the fire that broke out yesterday (2) afternoon has spread throughout the reserve until nightfall.
As a result, more than ten acres of the reserve have been destroyed by fire.
The fire has spread rapidly throughout the reserve due to the severe dry weather and wind conditions affecting the area, and the fire was brought under control by the early hours of this morning (03).
