The Criminal Investigation Department has learned that Ishara Sewwandi, who is said to have aided and abetted the murder of organized crime leader Ganemulla Sanjeewa in the Aluthkade Magistrate’s Court, has fled the country.
This was during the interrogation of Kehelbaddara Padme and others who were recently arrested in Jakarta, Indonesia and later brought to Sri Lanka.
Organized criminals and drug traffickers Kehelbaddara Padme, Commando Salintha, Backo Saman and others who were recently arrested in a joint operation conducted by the Sri Lanka Police, the Jakarta Police in Indonesia and the Interpol are currently being interrogated under 72-hour detention orders.
During the interrogations conducted so far with that group, many facts have been revealed regarding the murder of Ganemulla Sanjeewa at the Aluthkade Magistrate’s Court Complex in Colombo.
They have revealed that the woman named Ishara Sewwandi, who aided and abetted the murder, fled to a foreign country after the murder.
