President Anura Kumara Dissanayake said that no conspiracy will be allowed on the path to building the country in good faith.
Making a special statement in Parliament, the President said that if the laws are not sufficient, laws will be formulated.
Expressing these views, the President said that 80 hand grenades were found in the Vavuniya area during a search operation conducted after a T-56 firearm was found in the Kiribathgoda area.
The President also revealed that the 80 hand grenades were planned to be brought to Colombo.
He also pointed out that a country should not become a victim of a conspiracy by defeated patriots who claim that they will be punished for their lost privileges or to protect the thefts they have committed, as well as the crimes they have committed.
