US President Donald Trump has nominated Eric Meyer to the Senate as the next US ambassador to Sri Lanka. Current ambassador Julie Chang is set to leave for the United States after completing her term.
Eric Meyer, a senior professional in the US Foreign Service, is currently serving as the Senior Bureau Officer in the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs.
