A tourist resort has been destroyed in a forest fire in the Kandakumbura area of the Ella Divisional Secretariat, Ella Police said.
The police said that a tourist resort has also been destroyed due to the rapid spread of the fire due to the dry weather conditions and wind.
However, the police said that no one was injured in the fire.
The Bandarawela Fire Department, military officers and police along with insurance officers have taken action to control the fire.
