Dr. Gita Gopinath, First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, arrived in the country today on a two-day official visit. She is also accompanied by an IMF envoy.
During her visit, Dr. Gita Gopinath will be a special guest at the conference on “Sri Lanka’s Economic Recovery and Debt Management” to be held on June 16, 2025, jointly organized by the Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka and the International Monetary Fund.
