The entire National People’s Power (NPP) group, which holds the governing power in the Horana Pradeshiya Sabha, assumed duties there today. Nirmala de Silva was appointed as the new chairman of the council, while Amarakoon Piyasena was appointed as the vice-chairman.
The National People’s Power (NPP) members of parliament, Dr. Nihal Abeysinghe and Oshani Umanga, also joined the occasion to witness the new chairman assuming duties.
