A seven-year-old child has died after being attacked by a wild elephant in the Indikatuwewa area of Gomarankadawala. The attack occurred while he was riding a bicycle with his father who was leaving for work in the early morning.
The father was thrown off the bicycle by the wild elephant, which reportedly attacked the child. The child, who was seriously injured in the incident, died on the spot.
