A warning from Leader of the House Bimal Ratnayake.

Political sources say that the conflict of opinion between the JVP and other political and civil society forces representing the National People’s Force has reached a serious level.

The crisis was clearly exposed to the public in the speech delivered by President Anura Dissanayake at the 60th anniversary of the JVP held recently. There, he severely criticized the other political parties that are in alliance with him. He said that his party has opened its doors even to those who do not even touch the carpet of another political movement.

It is also reported that there is a plan to remove non-JVP individuals who hold several ministerial positions in the current government from those positions. The President’s statement states that the severe division within the government has reached a point where it can no longer be hidden.

Recently, while participating in a program on Independent Television, Minister Bimal Ratnayake also said that several positions, including ministerial posts, in the government are likely to change in the future.

Meanwhile, a number of parties, both in the government and the opposition, have expressed their objections to the way Leader of the House Bimal Ratnayake is conducting his activities in Parliament.
