A government official engaged in election duty has died due to a sudden illness. She fell ill while on duty and died after being admitted to the Peradeniya Teaching Hospital.
The deceased was an official who reported for election duty to the Gannoruwa Junior College in the Peradeniya Police Division. She was working as a development officer at the Gannoruwa Plant Genetic Resources Center.
