Minister Bimal Ratnayake says that the investigations conducted so far have revealed that former Eastern Province Chief Minister Sivanesathurai Chandrakanthan alias Pillayan is involved in the series of bomb attacks on Easter Day 2019.
He also pointed out that it has now become clear that certain government-related institutions have contributed the most to this attack. He also said that the groups suspected of this have also held power in the country after the attack.
Although efforts have been made to destroy and conceal evidence related to the attack, the Minister also said that it will be possible to expose the people who led the Easter attack through special new facts that have come to light in the past two weeks.
He made these comments while addressing the media.
