The Embassy informs Sri Lankans in Israel to be vigilant regarding their security during the Sinhala New Year celebrations.
The Embassy has issued this statement as there is a possibility of missile attacks targeting Israel by the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
Various events, including New Year celebrations, have been organized in several parts of the country from tomorrow until April 26th. Since the venues where these events will be held are open areas, the Israeli Embassy advises that visitors follow the necessary instructions to protect themselves in the event of an emergency.
